Alwar Fort, also called Bala Quila, is a massive hilltop fort overlooking the city of Alwar in Rajasthan. Built in the 15th century by Hasan Khan Mewati, the fort stretches across the Aravalli hills with massive stone walls, ancient gateways, watchtowers, and panoramic views of the city below. The fort is nearly 5 km long and has six grand gates that once protected the kingdom from invasions. Inside, you can still spot old reservoirs, hidden pathways, ruined palace sections, and defensive structures that reflect its military importance during the Rajput and Mughal periods.
