Must-visit places and experiences

Christ Church, consecrated in 1853, is the heart of Kasauli's small colonial centre — a stone neo-Gothic church with stained glass imported from England and a graveyard shaded by ancient deodars. The Mall Road runs past it through an avenue of pines, lined with a few shops, a bakery, and the iconic Gorkha Gate.

Sunset Point, at the southern edge of Kasauli, offers panoramic views of the Chandigarh plains, and watching the city lights twinkle is one of the classic things to do in Kasauli. Monkey Point, further along, has a small Hanuman temple on a hilltop within the Air Force base, another key stop on a Kasauli trip.

The best Kasauli weather is from March to June and September to November. Winter is cold, and the monsoon is wet but less crowded.
The Chandigarh to Kasauli journey (65 km) is a 90-minute drive. The distance from Delhi to Kasauli is 285 km.
A 1-2 night Kasauli trip is ideal. The town is small and doesn't need more time unless you want extended walks.
