Moti Daman Fort is one of the key places to visit in Daman, built by the Portuguese between 1559 and 1581 as the center of colonial administration. The fort has a pentagonal layout with 10 bastions, a wide moat, and the original governor’s palace inside its walls. Devka Beach is located about 3 kilometers from central Daman and is a rocky-sandy stretch known for its lively atmosphere. It features an amusement park, water park options like Jampore Devka Ocean View Resort, and several beachside restaurants and bars. While the beach is not the cleanest or most scenic, it remains one of the popular places to visit in Daman due to its entertainment options. The mix of beach activities and amusement facilities makes it a common stop in a Daman especially for families and group travelers from nearby Gujarat. Alcohol is openly served at beach bars, which is uncommon in the surrounding region and adds to its appeal as a relaxed weekend spot.
