Chopta

Chopta is a small cluster of tea huts and seasonal lodges at 2,608 metres on the Rudraprayag Gopeshwar highway in Uttarakhand, surrounded by the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, making it a key destination for Chopta tourism and a Chopta travel guide. Often called the Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand for its open alpine meadows, Chopta is the trailhead for two iconic short treks, Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila Peak, among the top places to visit in Chopta and things to do in Chopta. The Tungnath trail itself is just 3.5 kilometres one way with a stone paved path, making it one of the most accessible high altitude temple trails in India and one of the top attractions in Chopta.
