Nepal is made for travelers who prefer experiences over conventional sightseeing. This adventure-led journey begins in Kathmandu, where ancient heritage sites, local neighborhoods, and energetic streets introduce us to the country’s culture. From Kathmandu, we travel towards Pokhara with an exciting white-water rafting experience along the way. In Pokhara, we experience Nepal’s adventure capital through paragliding, mountain viewpoints, caves, lake activities, and optional high-adrenaline experiences. The journey ends in Chitwan, where the adventure shifts from mountains to forests. Jeep safaris, canoe rides, guided jungle walks, birdwatching, and encounters with local Tharu culture offer a completely different side of Nepal.

Attraction

Swayambhunath Stupa

Swayambhunath Stupa is one of Kathmandu’s most sacred and visually striking landmarks, standing on a forested hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley. Often called the Monkey Temple because of the monkeys living around the complex, this ancient Buddhist site offers a fascinating combination of spirituality, history, traditional architecture, and breathtaking city views. The experience begins with a walk around the hilltop Buddhist complex, where visitors can admire the impressive white-domed stupa crowned by a golden spire. The painted Buddha eyes on all four sides of the tower are one of Nepal’s most recognizable symbols, representing wisdom, compassion, and spiritual awareness. Visitors can walk clockwise around the main stupa while spinning rows of beautifully decorated prayer wheels. Colorful prayer flags stretch across the complex, carrying prayers and blessings through the mountain breeze. The peaceful sound of chanting, temple bells, and rotating prayer wheels creates a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The hilltop location also offers some of the finest panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. From the viewing areas, travelers can admire the city’s densely packed neighborhoods, distant hills, traditional buildings, and surrounding mountains on clear days. Beyond the main stupa, visitors can explore smaller shrines, Buddhist monasteries, prayer halls, sculptures, traditional courtyards, and local souvenir stalls. The combination of sacred traditions, ancient architecture, panoramic scenery, and everyday religious life makes Swayambhunath an essential experience for anyone visiting Kathmandu.
