Hazratbal Shrine is Srinagar’s most deeply revered spiritual site, sitting peacefully on the pristine western banks of Dal Lake. The shrine holds profound religious significance as it houses the Moi-e-Muqqadas, a holy relic believed to be a hair of the Prophet Muhammad. Beyond its religious importance, the structure is a visual masterpiece, contrasting beautifully against the deep blue waters of the lake and the distant Himalayan peaks. Unlike the traditional wooden architecture typical of Kashmiri shrines, Hazratbal features a stunning white marble facade and a singular dome, making it the only domed mosque in Srinagar.
