Gun Hill & Mall Road Ropeway
About
Gun Hill, at 2,122 meters, is the second-highest point and one of the top attractions in Mussoorie, reached by a short 400-metre ropeway that climbs above the Mall. The name traces back to a colonial-era cannon fired at midday to help residents set their watches. Today, the summit features stalls, a small food court, and an open platform where, on clear mornings, snow peaks like Bandarpunch and Srikantha appear framed between the deodars.

Himalayan Viewpoint
Looking north-east on clear mornings, you can pick out Bandarpunch, Srikantha, and the Gangotri group. This rare & easy summit view of the high Himalaya near Delhi is one of the top attractions in Mussoorie.
Ropeway Ride
A four-minute cable car climbs from Jhula Ghar on the Mall to the summit, with the ridge falling away on both sides, making it a highlight of Mussoorie sightseeing.
Cannon Platform
The original British-era noon cannon still stands at the top, now a popular photo point surrounded by food stalls and souvenir shops, one of the simple yet memorable things to do in Mussoorie.
