Sitting at nearly 1,700 meters on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, Top Station is Munnar’s ultimate "edge of the world" spot. It gets its name from being the highest railway station in the valley during the colonial tea trade era. It’s where you go to see the Western Ghats drop off into the plains of Tamil Nadu, often with clouds floating below your feet.

Tips for your visit
- •It’s about 32km from Munnar town; leave by 5:30 AM to catch the sunrise and avoid the heavy fog that rolls in later.
- •The walk back up from the viewpoint is steep and can be tiring for those with mobility issues.
- •Entry is usually around ₹20–₹50; carry cash for small tea stalls selling "Mountain Maggi" and local spice tea.
