Japfu Peak at 3,048 metres is the second-highest peak in Nagaland, near the Dzukou Valley and often combined with the Dzukou trek as an extended itinerary. The peak features the world's tallest rhododendron tree (confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records at over 109 feet). Climbs from Mao Gate (Manipur side) or from the valley add a day. The summit has panoramic views across Nagaland, Manipur, and on clear days, parts of Assam and Myanmar.
