Perched atop Kuensel Phodrang hill, the 51-meter-tall Buddha Dordenma overlooks the entire Thimphu Valley. The golden statue symbolizes peace and prosperity and contains thousands of smaller Buddha statues inside. From this vantage point, the valley spreads out beneath layers of forested hills. The site feels expansive and serene, especially when prayer flags flutter in the wind and the sky is clear.
