The Jagatpita Brahma Mandir, widely known as the Pushkar Brahma temple, is one of the very few actively worshipped shrines dedicated to Brahma in the world. This 14th century Pushkar temple, built on a much older sacred site, features a striking red spire crowned with a hans, the mythical swan that serves as Brahma’s mount. Inside the sanctum stands a rare four faced idol of Brahma looking toward all cardinal directions, making it central to what is famous in Pushkar. Pilgrims believe that a ritual dip in Pushkar lake is spiritually incomplete without offering prayers here, making it one of the most important things to do in Pushkar.

What makes this place special
