Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is one of Pokhara's most fascinating natural and religious attractions, combining underground exploration with spiritual significance. Located close to Davis Falls, this extensive cave complex is known for its dark limestone chambers, naturally formed rock structures, narrow pathways, and the sacred shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Visitors enter the cave through a series of stone steps leading below ground, where the atmosphere gradually becomes cooler, darker, and more mysterious. Inside, the cave walls reveal naturally shaped limestone formations created over centuries by the movement of water. Dim lighting, dripping water, and echoing chambers create a unique underground experience. One of the main highlights is the Gupteshwor Mahadev shrine, which attracts both pilgrims and travelers. Devotees visit the cave to offer prayers, while other visitors explore the geological formations and passageways surrounding the sacred area. Deeper inside the cave, travelers can reach a section located behind or near the underground flow connected with Davis Falls.
