Baisaran, located about 5 kilometers uphill, is one of the most scenic places to visit in Pahalgam. Set at 2,400 meters, this broad grassland encircled by dense pine forests is often called “mini Switzerland,” making it a standout in Pahalgam tourism. Accessible only by pony or a steep 90-minute hike with no motor vehicles allowed, the journey itself adds to the charm of your Pahalgam trip. In summer, the meadow comes alive with grazing sheep, pony rides, and fun activities like zorbing, while winter transforms it into a quiet, snow-covered landscape ideal for relaxed Pahalgam sightseeing.
