Kalyani Banyan Tree
About
The Kalyani Banyan Tree is a 150 year old natural landmark in Horsley Hills Andhra Pradesh, named after the daughter of British collector W.D. Horsley, who is believed to have planted it. Located close to the main plateau area and within short Horsley hills distance from the popular Horsley hills resort, this massive tree is one of the most admired places to visit in Horsley hills. Its canopy spreads across more than 200 square metres, and the network of branches creates an almost architectural presence. A small landscaped park surrounds the tree, with benches and a children’s play area, making it a peaceful stop for families exploring the Horsley hills location. Though there is no Horsley hills beach here, the cool air and shade make it equally refreshing.
