The Biligiriranga hills temple sits at the summit of a white rock cliff at 1,279 metres. Biligiri translates to white cliff. This small Vishnu shrine in the Biligiriranga Hills has been the spiritual centre of the Soliga community for centuries. Reached by a short climb from the road, visitors should verify the Biligiriranga hills timings before arriving. Views from the terrace are spectacular, stretching across the BRT reserve to the Nilgiri Biosphere. The annual car festival in April is a major Soliga gathering.

What makes this place special

The inner sanctum is built right at the cliff edge where the white rock giving the range its name lies directly below.
