About
Bhimtal Lake is a C-shaped freshwater lake 1,674 metres long and 447 metres wide, with a small 1,000-sq-metre island at its centre, making it one of the top places to visit in Bhimtal. The island has a small aquarium, an open-air restaurant, and sweeping views across the full lake, accessed only by boat, and among the most popular things to do in Bhimtal. The lake's eastern shore has the main promenade, while the western and southern shores are quieter and lined by pine forest, ideal for relaxed Bhimtal sightseeing and peaceful Bhimtal holidays.
