What to expect
Central is located in the Central and Western District of Hong Kong. It is the political and commercial center of Hong Kong. Many banks, multinational financial institutions and foreign consulates are located here. The Hong Kong Government Headquarters, the Legislative Council Building, and the former Governor's Office (now called Government House) are also located here. The landscape of Central is a mixture of old buildings and modern high-tech buildings. Old buildings such as Legislative Council Building and modern buildings such as Bank of China Building and IFC International Financial Center have become iconic attractions in Hong Kong, forming a beautiful and spectacular urban landscape on Hong Kong Island. Central develops along the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. Many streets have to climb slopes or stairs, such as Stone Street, and Gas Lamp Street, which has appeared in TVB TV series countless times. The famous scenic spot here is the Peak of Taiping, and the well-known covered Escalator - Central to Mid-levels escalator. In addition, Lan Kwai Fong, a good place for Hong Kong nightlife, is also located in a short, narrow, L-shaped and cobblestone alley between Wyndham Street and D'Aguilar Street in Central. There are many large shopping malls in Central. The Landmark, Alexandra Building, Chater Building and Prince's Building form a well-known shopping circle. There are also many well-known restaurants. Kee Restaurant and Lianxiang Lou are all recommended delicacies, and they are also very popular, so be prepared to queue.
