Toronto Islands
About
The Toronto Islands are a chain of small, car-free offshore islands located just a short, scenic ferry ride away from downtown Toronto. Connected by a series of scenic bridges and pathways, the islands offer a tranquil, green sanctuary from the busy city streets. Spanning beaches, yacht clubs, historic residential cottages, and manicured parklands, they provide beautiful biking trails, picnic areas, and the most spectacular panoramic views of Toronto’s city skyline.

Things to Know
- •Ferries depart regularly from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal at the foot of Bay Street; purchase tickets online to skip boarding queues.
- •No cars are allowed on the islands (except for service vehicles), so renting a bicycle or tandem bike on Centre Island is the best way to get around.
- •Bring your own picnic supplies and water, as dining options on the islands are limited, especially outside of the summer months.
