November to February for dry weather, clear skies, and highly comfortable temperatures for cycling and boating.

Early morning departure (around 8:00 AM) from Taichung to maximize your time on the water and avoid the midday tour buses.

- Do not rent your bicycle from the first shop near the bus drop-off; walk down toward Shuishe Pier or the Xiangshan Visitor Center for better quality gear.
