Dashing down a green hillside inside a giant, double-skinned plastic ball filled with warm water is one of the most uniquely bizarre and hilarious adventures in Rotorua. Invented right in New Zealand, ZORB involves sliding and spinning inside a massive, cushioned sphere as you hurtle down custom-built tracks. Whether you choose to ride solo or with friends, the experience of slipping around inside the wet ball while gravity carries you downhill is guaranteed to cause uncontrollable laughter.
The sensation is often described as being inside a giant, warm, personal washing machine sliding down a mountain.
One fun fact people love:
The ZORB was invented in Rotorua in the mid-1990s, and the local site remains the only official, original ZORB location in New Zealand.
