Beyond the boat ride, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary has a paved walkway with three wooden watchtowers overlooking the islands. These are ideal for early-morning birding during the sanctuary's timings, when activity is highest. Kingfishers, cormorants, and egrets are common from the towers, and otters are occasionally seen, offering more value to your Ranganathittu bird sanctuary tickets.
