Wahiba Sands Desert Overnight

Drive 2.5 hours from Muscat to the Wahiba Sands — 12,500 sqkm of orange-red dunes rising up to 100 metres. Most visits include 4WD dune-bashing, camel riding, a Bedouin camp dinner, and overnight stargazing in a desert tent before sunrise over the dunes. Operators pick up from Muscat hotels; standalone day trips skip the overnight at the cost of missing the night sky.
