Malaysia

Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country split between Peninsular Malaysia (sharing borders with Thailand and Singapore) and East Malaysia on the island of Borneo. The Malaysia capital, Kuala Lumpur, dominated by the 452-metre Petronas Twin Towers, is the entry point for most visitors. Beyond the capital, explore George Town on Penang, a UNESCO-listed port city with incredible street food; Langkawi, a duty-free archipelago; and Malacca, a heritage city with colonial remnants. East Malaysia offers Borneo's rainforests and wildlife. The diverse Malaysia people, a mix of Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities, produce Asia's most varied food culture. While the official Malaysia language is Malay, English is widely spoken. Best visited March to October on the west coast.
