Saint Mary's Cathedral is the oldest continuously active building in Limerick, founded in 1168 by the last King of Munster, Domnall Mór Ua Briain. Built on the site of an ancient Viking palace, this magnificent limestone structure features a unique blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, beautiful stained glass, and historic tombs.
