Fasilides' Bath
About
Fasilides' Bath is a beautiful, peaceful historic monument located just outside the main city center. The site features a two-story stone pavilion standing inside a massive, rectangular water basin surrounded by ancient, leafy banyan trees whose massive roots have grown over the stone walls. Although empty for most of the year, the bath is filled with fresh river water once a year for the colorful Timkat celebrations.
