About
Széchenyi is the largest medicinal bath in Europe, opened in 1913 inside a grand Neo-Baroque palace in City Park in Hungary Budapest. It features 18 pools, 15 indoor and 3 outdoor, supplied by two thermal springs at 74°C and 77°C, cooled to soothing bathing temperatures of 27 to 38°C. The outdoor pools are the visual symbol of Budapest, with yellow façades, locals playing chess on floating boards, and steam drifting into the air during colder months in Hungary country. Saturday night Sparties transform the outdoor pools into a lively club from 10:30 PM Hungary time now. Bring a swimsuit, flip-flops, and a towel, or rent them on site and pay in Hungary currency.
