The Jardin d'Essai du Hamma is a spectacular, thirty-two hectare botanical garden established in 1832 by the French. This lush oasis features over twelve hundred unique species of trees and plants, split between a classical French garden, an English garden, and winding paths lined with massive, ancient banyan trees.
